MayChairman Luqman Wins Two Prestigious Honours At 2025 Spotlight Ghana Awards
The hardworking chairman of the Ashanti Region Ghana National Association of Garages, Alhaji Mohammed Luqman Nuhu Appiedu, has won two prestigious awards at the 2025 Spotlight Ghana Awards.
Chairman Luqman was adjudged The Most Performing Regional Garages Chairman Of The Year while his Luqman Engineering Services and Training Centre won The Best Mechanical Engineering Services Of The Year.
The event was held at the SSNIT Conference room in Adum Kumasi on Friday May 9th, 2025.
Chairman Luqman received his awards in the company of his wife, Hajia Mariam Luqman, children, Regional Executives and some of the 42 apprentices currently under his training.
The 2025 Spotlight Ghana Awards honoured other personalities like businessmen and women, politicians, chiefs, men and women of God, musicians and radio and TV personalities who have excelled in their field of work.
During his tenure as Ashanti Region Garages Chairman, Alhaji Luqman has been instrumental in organising periodic training programmes for auto mechanics in Kumasi Suame Magazine, spearheading the complete renovation of the Garages Head Office in Kumasi, procuring CCTV Cameras for the Garages Office, partnering with Conquer I.T to launch the Ghana Garages App and starting 'GARAGES HOUR', a 90-minute long auto mechanic radio programme which airs on OTEC 102.9 FM every Sunday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
In his appreciation speech, Chairman Luqman expressed gratitude to the National Chairman of Ghana Garages, Odeneho Nana Oppong Barima, and his executives, as well as the Regional, Zonal and District Executives of the Ashanti Region Ghana National Association of Garages for their immense support, dedication and hardwork during his tenure as Regional Chairman.
