MayGNAG President Congratulates Chairman Luqman For Effective Leadership
The Ghana National Association of Garages President, Odeneho Nana Oppong Barima, has commended the chairman of the Ashanti Regional branch of the association for his effective leadership.
The commendation was done at a meeting held at the National Headquarters Annex at Oye's Court in East Legon in Accra on Thursday May 29, 2025.
Alhaji Mohammed Luqman Nuhu Appiedu, chairman of the Ashanti Region Chapter of the Ghana National Association of Garages, is approaching two years as leader of Kumasi Magazine but has already chalked some enviable feats.
Chairman Luqman was recently honoured at the 2025 Spotlight Ghana Awards, where he won the Most Performing Regional Garages Chairman of the year while his Luqman Engineering Services and Training Center won the Best Mechanical Engineering Services of the year.
He used the opportunity to present his 2025 Spotlight Ghana Awards to Odeneho Nana Oppong Barima, who in turn congratulated Chairman Luqman for bringing such an honour to the Ghana Garages family.
During his tenure as Ashanti Region Garages Chairman, Alhaji Luqman has been instrumental in organising periodic training programmes for auto mechanics in Kumasi Suame Magazine, spearheading the complete renovation of the Garages Head Office in Kumasi, procuring CCTV Cameras for the Garages Office, partnering with Conquer I.T to launch the Ghana Garages App and starting 'GARAGES HOUR', a 90-minute long auto mechanic radio programme which airs on OTEC 102.9 FM every Sunday from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
The process of decongesting the road network within the Suame Magazine enclave is also ongoing under the guidance of Chairman Luqman as he bids to make the area free and safe for the conduction of business activities.
Currently, Chairman Luqman is engaging seriously with the new MCE for Suame Municipal, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, and the relevant authorities to renovate and upgrade the Magazine Hospital and equip it with the requisite personnel for it to function properly.
Also in the pipeline are the procurements of fire tenders and CCTV Cameras for the Suame Magazine enclave.
